Mr. Bengoa is a Special Counsel of the Firm's Tax Practice Group. Prior to re-joining the Firm, he was the General Counsel for the Puerto Rico operations of Pfizer for almost a decade supporting the manufacturing, sales & marketing divisions.

Practice Areas and Experience

Mr. Bengoa will concentrate his practice on Puerto Rico tax incentive issues, and will also be available to provide support to the general corporate, real estate, and health care law practice areas.

Mr. Bengoa commenced his legal career at McConnell Valdes in 1981; before joining Pfizer, he was a Capital Partner at the firm and head of the Tax Exemption Practice Area.

Education

Mr. Bengoa obtained a bachelor's degree in arts with a major in history from the I.A.U. (Magna Cum Laude) and a juris doctor (Cum Laude) I.A.U. School of Law, -ranking 7th of the class. He is also a registered Notary Public.

Mr. Bengoa is admitted to practice law in all courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
