Janelle Aixa Reyes Maisonet joined McConnell Valdés as an Associate in March 2008. She is part of the firm's Tax and Corporate Practice Groups

Experience

Before joining McConnell Valdés, Ms. Reyes worked as an Audit Staff at Deloitte & Touche LLP, in Indianapolis, Indiana, from 2000 to 2002 working with SEC clients in the Manufacturing, Financing and Banking industries. In 2002, she became Audit Senior at Deloitte & Touche LLP, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, working primarily with Financing and Depository Institutions. Until recently, she served as student clerk to United States District Judge Daniel R. Domínguez.

Education

Ms. Reyes earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a Double Major in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University, Bloomington Campus, in 2000. Ms. Reyes earned her Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 2007.

Admissions

Ms. Reyes is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. She is also a Certified Public Accountant admitted to practice in the State of Indiana and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and is a registered Notary Public.

Ms. Reyes is a member of the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants and of the Puerto Rico Bar Association.
