Magda M. Boyles joined McConnell Valdés LLC as an Associate in November 2008. She is part of the firm's Corporate Practice Group.
Experience
Before joining McConnell Valdés, Ms. Boyles was an Associate at Vedder Price and prior to Vedder Price, she was an Associate at Schwartz, Cooper, Greenberger & Krauss, Chartered (recently acquired by Dykema). Ms. Boyles has concentrated her practice representing buyers and sellers, primarily middle-market companies, in the purchase and sale of their business. She has also represented banks, commercial finance companies and other institutional lenders with respect to secured transactions, commercial lending and asset-based financing.
Ms. Boyles is able to provide her clients with "value-added legal advice" as a result of her technical business training and hands-on business experience. Having an M.B.A. from a top-ranked program and having worked in various management capacities within the corporate world such as Foote, Cone & Belding and Coors Brewing Company, she understands the business principles and motivations that drive business today. Given this unique combination of significant business experience and legal training, her approach to the practice of law is pragmatic and straightforward.

Ms. Boyles' primary practice area is corporate law, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate transactional matters.
Education
Ms. Boyles earned her Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Marketing from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications of Syracuse University. She obtained her Masters in Business Administration in Finance from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and her Juris Doctor with a concentration in Business Enterprise from Northwestern University School of Law.
