DACO Matters Representative Cases and Matters

DACO Matters -- Services performed for our clients:

• Represent and defend clients in customer complaints presented before DACO.
• Assist clients in resolving customer complaints before they are filed or very soon thereafter.
• Represent and defend clients from DACO penalties for allegedly infringing the Regulation on Misleading Practices and Advertisements.
• Assist clients with the drafting of advertisements, pre-prints, and credit inserts to comply with DACO regulations.
• Assist clients with the drafting of rain checks and rain check policies in compliance with DACO requirements.
• Assist clients with notices, store-signs, shelf-tags, discount charts, scanners, price-checkers, and other items in the stores in order to comply with DACO laws and regulations.
• Assist clients with the drafting of clarifying notes and disclaimers.
• Meet with clients to discuss their particular problems with the DACO regulations, such as problems with shelf-tags, pre-prints, disclaimers, clarifying notes, availability of items announced in the pre-prints, rain check formats, notices and charts required to be posted in the stores, and many other related matters.
• Offer seminars to clients on DACO Regulation on Misleading Practices and Advertisements and how to comply with its many requirements.
• Perform store audits to determine if the stores are in compliance with the DACO Regulations.
• Assist clients with the drafting of contest rules to comply with DACO regulations.
• Offer seminars and/or meetings to discuss DACO Contest Regulation and how to comply with its requirements, including the different requirements for regular and instant-winners contests, the publication requirements, the notary requirements, the notice requirements, and others.
• Assist clients with the drafting of the notification letters to the winners, with the Authorization and Release Agreements, and with other related documents.
• Submit proposed revisions to DACO laws and regulations and assist with the drafting of such laws and regulations.
• Assist clients with all other DACO-related matters.
